This is a great product, which I thoroughly recommend. It is not for everyone, but if you need somewhere to put three 3.5″ (or four 2.5″) disc drives then it does the job well. It is mostly made of metal, though the front is plastic. Some reviews in other places say that the front flap is hard to pull down, all I can say is that this is not the case with the one I bought.
As well as three hard discs I have also taped a SSD to the computer, above the top hard drive, where it gets the benefit of cooling air from the fan blowing over it.
I have relatively low capacity discs in the cage, so there is plenty of space between the drives to allow cooling air to blow over them. If the drives were of a higher capacity the space between them would be smaller and I might wonder about cooling, but with fairly slim discs the cooling is fine.
This is not cheap, but it is very good value for money.
