The fan motor for the DustPROOF range of virtually silent fans is extremely quiet. The AcoustiFan™ DustPROOF series use the highest quality double-ball bearings available for reliability, use-anywhere inside a PC for extra long life expectancy (upgrade your PC and take these fans with you!). One of the unique features of these PC fans is that the motor has been completely sealed from the outside environment. This prevents dust entering the motor and also reduces the amount of noise perceived to be coming from the bearings within the motor.

Each DustPROOF™ quiet fan is also supplied with a unique 3-speed fan cable which offers maximum flexibility (3-pin or 4-pin power connectors), along with the ability to select a fan speed suitable for your PC and noise sensitivity. The black connector will run your fan at full speed (12V), the blue connector will run the fan at medium speed (7.5V), and the white connector will run it at minimum speed (5V). However, if you opt for the white connector (minimum fan speed), be certain to design the airflow through your PC system carefully and monitor system and component temperatures. Acousti have even included four handy cable ties with each DustPROOF™ fan!

The DustPROOF™ quiet fans also incorporate an Auto Start safety feature. This feature is built into the fan's PCB and automatically restarts the fan after the release of any obstacle which has prevented the blades from spinning.

Unlike other generic temperature controlled case fans, the ARCTIC F Pro TC fan provides cooling according to not only the temperature, but also the overall necessity for cooling.



The revolutionary programmed temperature controller plays a key role. As shown in the chart, when case ambient air temperature is at safe level 0°C to 32°C, the ARCTIC F Pro TC fan speed remains at its lowest (500 rpm). This is to offer adequate ventilation at the lowest noise level possible. The ARCTIC F Pro TC is therefore completely inaudible (0.05 sone) at low temperatures – a much quieter level than generic TC fans.

However, once a gaming system is at load, the case ambient air temperature will go up speedily, and without any case fans, most likely it will rise above 40°C, an overheated level for most PC cases. High performance and instant cooling is vital at this stage in order to eliminate the risk of overheating and system instability.

The ARCTIC F Pro TC is programmed to achieve top fan speed at 38°C. The fan responses to the rise in temperature swiftly – within a critical 6°C range, the rpm of the ARCTIC F Pro TC fan increases from around 500 to its maximum of 2,000 rpm (the steep curve in the chart). Heat is dissipated from the case rapidly in order to achieve immediate cooling. As a result, the case air temperature remains at 38°C or below and thus the possibility of having a system failure can be eliminated.

Highly flexible – sensor on a 40cm cable
The accurate temperature sensor of the ARCTIC F Pro TC is equipped at the end of a 40cm cable. This gives much better flexibility when choosing the most appropriate spot that users would like to have the temperature detection.

Nanoflux Bearing (NFB) compared to sleeve and ball bearings

Even though conventional sleeve and ball bearings currently dominate the fan market both have their disadvantages. While sleeve bearings have very low noise emissions and are very cost effective, they tend to leak oil; once the oil has dissipated the fan can no longer operate. Ball bearings, on the other hand, while providing longer operating life are costlier, noisier and are prone to damage. Gelid's Nanoflux bearing uses magnetic flux to limit contact and friction between the bearing and the shaft. High precision self-lubricated material eliminates oil leakage. The result is a ultra quiet long life bearing.

Fan Speed Control

The RPM speed of any fan can be controlled from full speed to low speed manually using this voltage regulator. This product is suitable for all high RPM fans and regulates between 5 and 12V.

Rubber Fan Mounts

Vibration from fan motors can travel into a PC case and become amplified when a fan is fitted tightly. This vibrational noise is annoying if you wish to build a very quiet or virtually silent PC.    Low-Noise Adaptor
The NF-B9 PWM is supplied with a Low-Noise Adaptor (L.N.A.) that reduces the maximum fan speed from 1600 to 1300rpm. The L.N.A can be used either to run the fan at a fixed speed of 1300rpm or to cap the maximum speed when using automatic PWM control.

   Extensive Cabling Options

Korean cooling company Zalman are world-famous in their field, and the Zalman ZM-F2 shows that they can produce good quality, simple and inexpensive cooling fans as well as monsters of CPU coolers! The F2 is Zalman's 92mm quiet case fan, and this "plus" version comes with anti-vibration mounting pins which significantly dampen low-frequency vibrations from the fan which would otherwise be transmitted into the PC case and be amplified.

The fan also comes with an RC56 in-line resistor which allows you to drop the running speed of the fan, significantly reducing its noise level whilst still providing a respectable amount of airflow.
