This controller card is fully compliant with the Firewire IEEE1394a and supports transfer rates of 100, 200 and 400Mbps. The card has 3 external ports - one 4 pin and two 6 pin and an internal 6 pin port. It supports plug and play specifications, is fully compliannt with PCI 2.2 specifications and implements a 32-bit PCI address data path.

This unit allows both 4 pin and 6 pin Firewire devices to be used on laptops not fitted with the appropriate Firewire ports. . . It connects via the Cardbus slot and is supplied with a 4 pin to 6 pin Firewire cable.
